About Bloomington Country Club
Bloomington Country Club is one of Illinois's oldest private golf clubs, established in the late 19th century in Bloomington and rooted in over a century of regional golf tradition. The 18-hole course was originally designed by Tom Bendelow, a pioneering early American golf architect, and later refined in 1965 by Robert Bruce Harris, preserving its classic tree-lined fairways and small, demanding greens. The club has hosted prestigious regional competition, including the 1954 Illinois State Amateur Championship.
